In no particular order: * The game's difficulty curve is f*cked - every chapter has the exact same flow: you get curbstomped at the start of the zone by basically everything, you spend the majority of the time just trying to get on par, and then finally once you get some real armor and weapons from the chapter you carve through them like nothing until you finish it, and then start it all over with the next chapter. This is exacerbated by the fact that enemies broadly hit like a truck and you have no i-frames, so you can and regularly do die to bullsh*t that you had no way of avoiding. Shields are essentially mandatory for the parry making you briefly invincible. * The level design is awful, with a ton of pointless back and forth. I realize there isn't that much you can do with a sidescrollers like this, but it's transparently wasting your time by constantly sending you from one side of the map to the other to get some doohickey, then when you come back you get told to go to a different corner of the map to use it. ...Assuming it tells you where you need to use it at all. * The puzzles alternate between "neat adventure game stuff" to "lmao how the f*ck was I ever supposed to figure that out". I actually went to look one up earlier today only to find out in the process that a decision I made an hour and a half ago means that one of my party members is going to die and literally the only thing I can do to change this is to redo the entire area I'm in from the start (assuming...
