This page contains information on the locations of Typhon Logs and Dead Drop Locations found in Borderlands 3.In many of the regions you'll explore across the galaxy, you'll find discarded logs from the first Vault Hunter - Typhon. By interacting with and reading all of his logs in a region, Tannis can triangulate the position of a lost Typhon Dead Drop - and you can stand to gain a ton of loot from these hidden chests.Note that even if you find the Dead Drop early, you cannot access it until the Typhon logs in that area have been found first.Logs and Dead Drops below are divided up into regions. The Droughts Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log can be found close to the Bandit Outpost is where you're sent to kill Dumptruck, north of the Crimson Raiders outpost where you must drive over the gap.

From the outpost, head left until you are overlooking a valley where a Legendary Hunt is, and look to the side of an abandoned bus to find the log perched on the edge.

The Droughts Typhon Log 2

The second Typhon Log can be found outside of the Crimson Raiders Drydock on the southern entrance, heading right from the outpost at the start of the region - not far from Tannis' Dig Site.

It's located on a pile of large rocks to the side of the road leading to the drydock, and surrounded by a skag nest you'll need to clear out before you can reach it.

The Droughts Typhon Log 3

The final log location is found on the edge of a bandit base where you need to obtain an Astronav Chip during the Main Mission, Taking Flight. You can find the area at the farthest location from where you start at the Crimson Raiders Outpost.

Fight your way into the base camp and eliminate the Varkids guarding the area and the bandits inside until you can reach the balcony overlooking the the power lines below, and the log will be perched on the edge.

The Droughts Typhon Dead Drop

To find the Dead Drop, triangulate the three logs, and Tannis will point you in the direction of an old Dahl Memorial Dam, which hides begin a set of barriers not far down the road from where the third log was.

Take out the Varkids that swam the lower area below the dam building, and then move up and around to the far side of the concrete dam to find the large Dead Drop chest on the side.

Ascension Bluff Typhon Log 1

This Typhon Log is found along the long cliff-side just as the road begins to curve left when driving up from the entrance to the Ascension Bluff.

You can find it just to the right of an impounded car you can steal, and to the left of a Legendary Hunt.

Much like the other Typhon Log, this one can also be found on a cliff-side overlooking the distant broadcast station where the main mission takes you to fight Mouthpiece.

It's much close to the main path leading up to the Children of the Vault base, located on some small metal scaffolding built into the side of the cliff.

This Typhon Log can be found at the bottom of the bandit base that encompasses the left half of the region, and is found on a small rocky platform below most of the base.

You can locate it no far from a mysterious locked door that's surrounded by a Varkid Nest, and the log is located across a small ravine from one of the lower bases.

Ascension Bluff Typhon Dead Drop

Once you've located all three of the Typhon Logs, the position of the Dead Drop will be triangulated to appear right at the main gate leading up to the Children of the Vault broadcasting center.

Look near the Catch-a-Ride platform for some shipping containers, and climb up to locate an opening on the top that lets you drop into find the loot box.

Carnivora Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Carnivora can be found after you pass through the first major encounter area. Once you arrive in the cliffside area, turn right and walk to the end of the walkway and you’ll find the Typhon Log.

The second Typhon Log in Carnivora is available once you reach the underground section, before you emerge into the massive field. In the area where you’ll fight crowds of Tinks, hop up into the rafters and cross the hanging platform to reach a lounge area with the Typhon Log.

Once you’ve reached the massive field, where Carnivora patrols, you can gain access to the third Typhon Log. Hop in a vehicle and drive to the far right side, where you’ll find a small cave near the cliffside. Head in to find the final Carnivora Typhon Log.

Once you have all three Typhon Logs, the Dead Drop will appear. Head back to the first area Catch-A-Ride, then circle around the building to the southwest to find the Dead Drop.

From the Fast Travel station, head down the stairs and turn left. Head to the sandy cliff just left of the abandoned vehicle, then drop down to find the Typhon Log.

To find the second Typhon Log in the Cathedral of the Twin Gods, start at the Fast Travel Station. Head through the gate, towards the end of the area, then take an immediate left and head through the half-open shutter leading to a hallway.

Follow the path around and you’ll find a ladder leading up. Once you reach the top, walk forward to find the Typhon Log.

The third Typhon Log can be found near the beginning of the level. From the Fast Travel point, grab a vehicle and drive to the start of the level, then turn around and drive up the stony ledge on the right.

Hop out of the vehicle and clamber up the ledge, then turn right to find the Typhon Log.

Once you’ve obtained all three Typhon Logs, head towards the beginning of the area. If you saved Typhon Log 3 for last, simply hop down off the cliff and duck the large nearby pipe to find the Dead Drop.

Devils Razor Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log can be found near The Pillar. From the Boomtown Fast Travel station, get a vehicle and drive out to the main area, then follow the road to the left. Hop out and run to the small path to the left of the bridge to The Pillar and drop off a ledge to the right to find the log.

The second Typhon Log can be found near Roland’s Rest. From the Fast Travel station, grab a vehicle and follow the road to the left.

You’ll find a group of buildings on the left, so climb them, then proceed across the bridge and hop up onto the container to find the log.

The third and final Typhon Log can be found near the second. From the Roland’s Rest Fast Travel station, head up the road to the left, then head up the slope to the right. Exit your vehicle and climb to the summit and you’ll find the final log behind a shack.

Once all three Typhon Logs have been found, the Dead Drop will be revealed. From the location of the third Typhon Log (near Roland’s Rest), jump down to the base of the mountain and you’ll find a small hatch with a ladder leading downwards.

Jump down to the bottom to find a survival bunker, along with the Dead Drop.

Konrads Hold Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Konrad’s Hold can be found shortly after entering the area. Simply walk along the path and you’ll find it on the right as the path begins to bend strongly to the left.

The second Typhon Log can be found in the last warehouse at the end of the area. Use boxes and ledges to reach the upper level near the entrance, then hop over to the right side to find the second Typhon Log.

The third Typhon Log can be found after you gain access to the caves under the level. Once you reach the warehouse where you use a pipe to break through the floor, descend through the network of caves until you reach the log.

After you find all three Typhon Logs, the Dead Drop will appear, down in the caverns. Travel through them and you’ll soon find a shipping container. Hop up onto it to find a secret entrance. Hop down to find the Dead Drop.

Splinterlands Typhon Log 1

The first Splinterlands Typhon Log can be found shortly after entering the area. From the Fast Travel station, grab a vehicle and drive out into the main area. Take an immediate right and go into the broadcast area. As soon as you enter, follow the path to the right, then climb back out onto a rocky outcropping just outside the area to find the first log.

You’ll find the second Splinterlands Typhon Log behind The Homestead. Once you gain the ability to accept the quest to find the old woman’s husband, you’ll be able to open the back gate. Head up the mountain, then hop off the cliff edge at the back to find a hidden ledge holding the Typhon Log.

The final Splinterlands Typhon Log can be found near the rollercoaster. As you near the end of the level, there will be a fenced off area to the left. Head inside and climb towards the back of the area, then double back and you’ll find the log.

Once all Typhon Logs have been activated, the Dead Drop will be revealed. Towards the end of the level (near the second Fast Travel station) you’ll find a large mountain near the middle of the area. On the ledge out front, there is a shipping container. Head inside to find the Dead Drop.

Meridian Outskirts Typhon Log 1

This Typhon Log can be found with in the main Spillways of the Meridian Outskirts, off on the left side when first entering the area.

To reach the Log, you must find a makeshift camp that's the target of the Maliwannabees Side Mission. Take the lift on the south side up to the camp, and then look along the right side along the shipping containers for a small balcony where the log is located.

This Typhon Log is hiding among a ruined tower in the middle of the first main Spillways of the outskirts near where you first arrive in the main path from starting in this region.

Once arriving in the large open area, you'll find it almost straight ahead towards where the long half-broken overpass is (and the path to where you can reach the Meridian Metroplex is). Look below the broken road to find a tall broken pillar with a space in the middle, and the log will be located at the base.

There is one more Typhon log in this area of the Meridian Outskirts, towards the far back Spillways of the zone.

You can locate the log where the main path branches off into a garage area that leads both to the Metroplex and to the site of the Technical NOGout Side Mission. The log is located near some loot boxes right as you enter the tunnel.

The Typhon Dead Drop can be a tricky one to find, as its location is hiding in an elevator shaft near the back center of the Outskirts area.

Once you've followed Lorelei through the Spillways to the Atlas Refuge Camp in the sewers, she'll lead you to the back where you pass an elevator leading back down to the spillways below. Send the elevator down by pressing the button and running off, then summon the elevator up and jump on its roof to reach a crawlspace above the second floor where you can find the dead drop loot chest.

Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log 1

You can find this Typhon Log on the far left side of the Meridian Metroplex, past the large Meridian Mercantile area, on a platform overlooking the city beyond.

Follow the main streets to the Meridian Mercantile where you are tasked to meet up with Zer0 during the Main Mission - Hostile Takeover. After battling through the Mercantile, you'll find the spot where you first meet Zero by a railing overlooking the city, and the log is located just to the right.

Meridian Metroplex Typhon Log 2

This Typhon Log can be found in the far back area of the Meridian Metroplex, located near the entryway to the Atlas HQ area.

Take the main streets up past the middle of the Metroplex towards Titan's Gate - the large courtyard that leads to the Atlas HQ zone. At the entrance to this Maliwan-defended area, to the left of a Catch-A-Ride station, look for a small divider with some grass and several containers, and the log will be on the small grass divider in the middle of all the debris.

You can find this Typhon Log on the far right side of the Meridian Metroplex, near where one of the first boss fights in the region is located.

The log itself is located not far from where you must defeat the Gigamind Boss with Zer0, and is also located just down the street from the coffee shop where the Side Mission - Rise and Grind - takes place. As the road dips down, look for a small overpass, and the log is overlooking the street with the coffee shop in the distance.

Meridian Metroplex Typhon Dead Drop

The Typhon Dead Drop for the Meridian Metroplex is located in a tricky to reach area near the center of the zone. It is also the location of a Red Chest.You can find it by heading to the center of the zone that leads to the Lectra City area, and is heavily defended by Maliwan troops. From the Catch-a-Ride station, go up the stairs and stick to the right side, as you'll want to use the shipping containers to climb up the far right and double back along a small platform that crosses the road below. Climb over the container blocking the way and duck under a low ceiling to reach the other side of the street where both a Red Chest and the Typhon Log have been stashed.

Atlas HQ Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Atlas HQ can be found in the first area, although you’ll need to wind around to the upper level to gain access to it. From the zone entrance, continue normally (through the ratch-infested hallways and up to the second level), then run to the far left side of the area, past the entrance to Atlas HQ, and you’ll find the log overlooking the area entrance.

The second Typhon Log can be found shortly after you enter the main Atlas building. Once you enter the lobby, keep walking forward and you’ll see a staircase on your right. Take it up to the second floor and you’ll find the log on your right.

The third Typhon Log can be found on the far end of the zone, behind the Atlas HQ building, in the area abutting the sea. Once you reach the area, follow the stairs up and to the right and you’ll find the Typhon Log on your left once you near the end.

Once you’ve activated all three Typhon Logs, the Dead Drop will appear. Return to the second log, on the second floor of the Atlas HQ building, and you’ll see the Dead Drop from the other side of the glass to the left. Follow the wall on the left to find the entrance, then head inside to claim your loot.

Lectra City Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log can be found in Lectra City’s “Big Dock Energy” subarea. From the Fast Travel location at the start of the zone, head out into the main area and follow the border on the left.

Once you near the other side of the map, you’ll be able to take a left out into the docks. Jump off the end of the dock on the left side and climb the ruined metal crane to find the first log.

The second Lectra City Typhon Log is found close to the first. From the Big Dock Energy subarea, head back to the main area, then take a left. Once the path turns right, you’ll find another log on the corner on your left.

The third Typhon Log in the area can be found on the opposite side of the map from the first two. On the edge of the map, you'll find a small building. Hop up onto the roof using the air conditioning units to find the log.

Once all three logs have been found, the Typhon Dead Drop will be revealed. From the third Typhon Log, follow the left path back to the main area, then turn right. Take a left after the next building to find a ladder. Climb to the top and turn left to find a small shipping container, then head inside to find the Dead Drop.

Neon Arterial Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Neon Arterial is located extremely close to the Fast Travel point. Simply walk forward and jump up on the wall on the left side of the road, then turn left to find the log on a small, grassy platform.

The second Neon Arterial Typhon Log can be found much later in the level. After clearing the vehicular section of the map, exit your vehicle and make your way into the Apollyon Transit Station. Once you reach the clearing, jump up the ledge on the right to find the log.

The final Typhon Log in the Neon Arterial area can be found just before the exit leading to the Forgotten Basilica. Once you enter the catacombs area near the end of the level, follow the path on the left to find a stony alcove containing the log.

Once you’ve found each of the Typhon Logs in Neon Arterial, the Dead Drop will be revealed and unlocked. From the third log near the end of the area, head back to the main path and hug the wall on the right side to loop around and find the dead drop.

Skywell 27 Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log can be found fairly soon after reaching Skywell-27. From the fast travel section, continue until you reach the second section.

After passing the two guards in the narrow hallway past the locked room, turn right and drop down, then turn around and head up the stairs behind you, marked by a large red “1.” Follow the path up and around to the left to find the Typhon Log.

To find the second Typhon Log, proceed through Skywell-27 normally until you reach the large open chasm with the sequence of drills and engines. Hop across the series of stone ledges on the left to reach the Typhon Log.

The third Typhon Log in Skywell-27 can be found after you drop down into the bottom-most area. After you fall down the long shaft and reach the central mining area, climb the path to reach the Maliwan base, then take a left and climb the ladder in the corner.

Once you reach the upper area, climb up the box and head right, then jump over the chasm to reach the log.

After all three Skywell-27 Typhon Logs have been activated, the Dead Drop will be revealed. From the third log, hop back down to the ground level and follow the path towards the end of the level.

When you approach the boss area, take a left instead, and hug the left wall as it runs through a group of Maliwan enemies. Climb the stairs and keep following the left wall to reach an upper corridor, where you’ll find the Dead Drop.

Athenas Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log can be found in the Stormhaven Square subarea of Athenas. From the drop pod at the beginning of the level, follow the main path until you reach the square.

Before you reach the bell and the narrow pathway leading to the next section, you’ll find a group of buildings along the cliff’s edge on your left. Hop up onto the roof of the building in the center, then take a sprinting leap to reach the cliffside building where the Typhon Log is located.

Athenas Typhon Log 2

The second Athenas Typhon Log can be found in Dido’s Remorse. Head through the level as normal, then turn left once you reach the graveyard to find the church.

Head up the grassy slope on the left side of the cathedral and jump up on the large crate to find the log.

The final Typhon Log on Athenas can be found in the final chamber unlocked after you defeat the area boss, Captain Traunt.

After you defeat the Captain, head through the doorway, then jump down into the water on the left to find the final log.

Athenas Typhon Dead Drop

Once you’ve found all three Typhon Logs, the Dead Drop will be revealed. From the area you fought Captain Traunt, head back through the level until just before you cross the long bridge.

You’ll see several boxes on the right just before the bridge. Climb the boxes and use them to jump over the wall and you’ll find the Typhon Dead Drop.

Ambermire Typhon Log 1

The first Ambermire Typhon Log can be found between the two area Fast Travel point. From either one, head into the Moist Hoist area, and you’ll find the Typhon Log next to a bush in the middle of the area.

Ambermire Typhon Log 2

The second Typhon Log in Ambermire can be found in the Soggybog Rigs area. From the Rogue’s Hollow Fast Travel station, turn left and head out into the clearing, then hop up onto a wooden platform on your right to find the log.

The next Typhon Log in the Ambermire area can be found near Tig’s Big Rig. From the Rogue’s Hollow Fast Travel station, turn left. Head out into the clearing, then turn left and jump off the cliff to reach the lower area.

Walk forward and follow the waterway until you reach a house. You’ll find the log next to it, on a boat dock.

Ambermire Typhon Dead Drop

This Dead Drop can be found in Devlin’s Dock. Once all three Typhon Logs have been activated, the Dead Drop will be revealed and unlocked.

Head to the dock and jump off the end, into the water, then turn around to find the Dead Drop.

Blackbarrel Cellars Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Blackbarrel Cellars can be found in Norton’s Study. From the Fast Travel point, head through the area normally until you climb the first long set of stairs and arrive in Norton’s Study. Head through the doorway and turn left to find the log in an alcove.

From the first log, head through the Gunpowder Mill subarea and into the Forgotten Halls. Once you reach the halls, hug the left wall and you’ll find the second log in a bathroom, next to the sink.

To claim the third log, you’ll need to proceed through the level and defeat Aurelia, then exit into the Estate Gardens. Head to the end of the gardens and turn right to enter the Neglected Solarium.

Follow the wall on the right and climb up the ladder on the right side. Follow the path back around to the left, then jump the gap to reach the other side, where you’ll find the final Blackbarrel Cellars Typhon Log.

Blackbarrel Cellars Typhon Dead Drop

The Dead Drop for Blackbarrel Cellars is located in the Gardens area, which can be accessed after defeating Aurelia. From the statue, turn left and take another immediate left. Duck under the waterfall at the end of the row to discover a hidden cave holding the drop.

Floodmoor Basin Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Floodmoor Basin is located in Mudhaven. From the starting Drop Pod fast travel station, drop down, catch a vehicle, and drive down to the next Catch-A-Ride.

Head up through the Mudhaven town and jump to the platform on the right side of the cliffs to reach the log.

The second Typhon Log can be found just down the mountain from the Knotty Peak. Head down from the fast travel station until you reach the road, then turn right. On the left you’ll find a scenic viewing station with the Typhon Log.

The third Typhon Log can be found in the Primeval Preserve. Head to the upper left area of the map, which is rife with dinosaurs. Hug the cliffs on the right side as you progress through the area and you’ll find the log.

The Dead Drop for Floodmoor Basin can be found in the upper right corner of the map, near the transition point which leads to Voracious Canopy. Drive to the area and exit, then run around to the back of the cabin to find the Dead Drop.

Jakobs Estate Typhon Log 1

The first Jakobs Estate Typhon Log can be found shortly after entering the Leery Hamlet. From the Fast Travel station, head forward into the swamp until you reach the houses.

Hop up onto the bridge connecting two sections and follow the path around to the right side of the building on the left and you’ll find the log.

The second log can be found before you enter Jakobs Estate proper. Before you enter the gate surrounding the mansion, turn left and circle around and you’ll find the log on the left side of a large tree, right next to the cliff’s edge.

The third Typhon Log can be found inside the Jakobs Estate. Once you have reached the theater, head to the upper level. You’ll find the log on the right side, overlooking the stage.

The Typhon Dead Drop for Jakobs Estate can be found in the caves beneath the manor. After you’ve activated all three Typhon Logs, head to the caves and you’ll find the dead drop on the right side of the cavern in a small alcove.

This area can be reached very easily after finding the third Typhon Log by defeating the boss and dropping through the hole in the floor.

Voracious Canopy Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Voracious Canopy can be found as you are climbing the slope to the scientific outpost. As you walk towards the outpost, you’ll see a building elevated by scaffolding.

Head through the struts and climb the rocks on the other side and you’ll find the log on the deck outside the small shack.

The second Typhon Log can be found in the scientific outpost. After you enter through the hole in the gate, turn left and enter the small housing area.

Climb the ledges to reach the uppermost level on the right side, then turn right and climb the stairs. The path will loop around to a ledge overlooking the geodesic dome, which is where you’ll find the log.

Voracious Canopy Typhon Log 3

The third Typhon Log in Voracious Canopy can be found in the Family Jewel. As you approach the end of the area, you’ll see a wooded path leading to the left.

Climb the ledges and you’ll soon find Monty’s private cabin. Head into his bedroom to find the log.

Voracious Canopy Typhon Dead Drop

The Typhon Dead Drop for Voracious Canopy can be found in the swamp on the far left side of the map, near the Legendary Hunt target for the Jabbermogwai.

From the Fast Travel station, head up towards the scientific outpost, then turn left. Follow the border on the left side until you reach the edge of the swamp, where the water cascades off the cliff. Circle around the left side of the massive tree and climb the stone ledges to reach the Dead Drop.

Desolations Edge Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in Desolation’s Edge can be found shortly after you reach the Desolation’s Edge Fast Travel point in Typhon’s hideout. While following Typhon to the Nekrotafeyo vault, you’ll see a ledge to your left. Jump to it and loop around the left side to find the log.

The second Typhon Log isn’t far from the first. From the Desolation’s Edge Fast Travel station, begin walking up the slope to the main area, then take the first left. Perform a melee attack on the red vines to move them, then follow the wall on the right and you’ll find the next Typhon Log.

The third Typhon Log can be found in the subarea, “A Testament To Longing.” From the Fast Travel Station, head up the slope and grab a vehicle. Drive to the left and head up the slope (and under the stone archway) and continue to the end of the area. Follow the wall on the right side and take a sprinting leap to reach a rocky island where you’ll find the log.

Desolations Edge Typhon Dead Drop

After you activate each Typhon Log, the Dead Drop will be revealed. It is located across the main field from the fast travel station.

Before you reach the temple, follow the slope down and to the left, then hop out of your vehicle and melee attack the glowing red vines covering a crack in the wall.

Head through the space into the lower area and jump through the waterfall on your right to find the Dead Drop.

Tazendeer Ruins Typhon Log 1

The first Typhon Log in the Tazendeer Ruins can be found in The Last House subarea. From the starting Fast Travel station, continue through the area, hugging the left wall. Head through a gap in the stone and you’ll discover a cliffside area will Maliwan troops. Hug the cliffs and you’ll soon find the Typhon Log on a metal ledge overlooking the water.

The second Typhon Log can be found just after reaching the Charnel Keep. After climbing the tall stone staircase, turn left. Jump across the waterway and keep going left to the edge of the waterfall to find the next log.

The final Typhon Log is located at the very end of the area, and can be found in the lounge area Typhon will take you to, after taking the elevator up.

After all three Typhon Logs are activated, the Dead Drop will be revealed. To find it, head back to the area where you found the first and second logs, near the Charnel Keep.

In the wastes after the keep, there is a wild area filled with hostile creatures, before you reach the Maliwan base.Hug the left side of the area as you pass through and you’ll find a small gap under one of the trees. Head through it, then turn left and drop off the cliff at the end to find the Dead Drop.
