Please don't blame me for being scared. The Grandmaster genuinely has a crazy huge healthbar, and his mechanics are something I'm totally unable to fathom. Won't take damage, gets overly defensive at some time, and gets super aggressive at some.
I haven't yet fought him, because I just got done with the tech adaptoid in 6.4.5. I have seen a lot of videos on him tho, and it still confuses me. I don't know if specific champs are required, or if one champ is preferred over the other.

Finally, I really don't want to go under prepared. The last time I had to use revives were on the Cap Marvel, and adaptoid boss. Other than that, the act seems pretty doable honestly. Would 700 units suffice? Should I garner and max out my revive stash? Should I try acquiring a reverse-control immune champ? This time YouTube could not be so handy. So, I ask you, oh senior players please share your wisdom and knowledge. Enlighten us to the gateway of thronebreaker, please.

So I just got TB I want to say a little more than a week ago... AND IT SUCKED! I was stuck in 6.4.6 for weeks on end. Now I unfortunately am not one for arena grinding and I barely had units for GM fight... Now I'll be honest I am not the best player, There are skills I'm still learning and it's been a long year of getting back into the game. But over these past weeks, I've been able to develop my roster so well after getting TB. My first advice to you, just like I did is to bang your head against the wall to find what path works best for you. Everyone will tell you to do path A but I very much disagree as it will give you less time to do damage to GM. I did Path E and this was my team

      5* R5 Dr. Doom Sig 200
      6* R1 Diablo NA
      5* R1 Mr. Fantastic NA
      6* R3 Rintrah Sig 40
      6* R2 Juggs NA

I was so lucky to pull Juggs during my struggle of 6.4.6 since you should bring a reverse immune champ just so you don't get freaked out about phase 3. The top champs are gonna be Juggs, Kitty (W/Emma), Emma, Prof X, or Jessica Jones. But find the path for you and bring champions that allow you to go full health into GM fight. For Phase One, Do as much back drafting once you start the fight as you can to build tokens quickly and get out of Phase One as fast as you can since if you're not ready for GM beam in sp1 can royally mess you up. Once Phase 1 is done Phase 2 is ok it's not as bad since it will allow you to understand sp1 more so make sure you hit him to just a little above sp1 but not too much as you could push him sp2 and ruin your run entirely. This will allow you to gain more tokens from completing sp1 challenges on top of the normal 5 wounded challenges and then as long as you reach phase 3 with reverse control immune champ or a champ you can play well with reverse controls you should have smooth sailing... Sorry if that was a lot of information but it truly sucked and it was like when I was trying to push for cav. I knew I was ready for 6.1.5 and 6.1.6 but I was stuck on 6.1.2 for the longest time so all in all it sucked but I'm glad I pushed through it. If you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask

@ShineUpLink thankyou so much. I love that you took out your time, to help someone in need, even when you did not need to. I want to take the cosmic path, coz it seems kinda easy. Rest assured i'm willing to screw myself up, if it helps defeating the grandmaster.

I’m happy to see your roster but there’s no point in doing so because you’ll hear it a lot but you literally could use anybody, now path A may be better for you as you have Claire I do have Claire but I also only just got her and have no idea how exactly to use her yet, so path a maybe be better for you just know you’ll get less time for damage but I really do wish you the best of luck, and words or advice from a gambling man, don’t put all your units into one run~ If I doesn’t look good, don’t use the units

I think the best thing you can do is really understand the Grandmaster fight. For me I found a guide to help breakdown the fight so it was easier than if I hadn’t. But still just understand the fight is annoying and difficult and you may need to use some revives. I think I used 3-5 revives to get him down. Good luck! I wish you well on your journey.

The best advice I can give is WATCH A FEW VIDEOS. The mechanics really aren't that difficult to understand once you see them in action, but going into the fight blind isn't the best learning experience. Also, make sure you prepare, even if you think it's a lot, but you might surprise yourself. When I first did it, I stashed 2000 units, and only had 8 L2 Revives, and I only ended up spending like 500 units.

Finally, a piece of advice that no one ever agrees with me on: ENJOY THE FIGHT! The GM is still one of my favorite fights in the whole game. If you go into it with a mindset of "ugh, time to grind this out", you're gonna have a bad time. But if you stay relaxed, it's such a fun fight.

You need a great interceptor and reverse control immunity.

Juggernaut is designed for this fight.

Also, you Dex the SP1 when his hands go backwards. If you wait until the hands go forward, you will get hit.

I did. I think I'll have wait a bit long, to not commit those blunders and Dex the sp1. It's fun, but does get a bit tiresome.

Nah bud, you have an equally good, if not a better roster. We do share a lot of similar champs, lol

My first run (not to scare you) cost ~2000 units. I can't remember if I spent them on revives, or if that I caused reviews I already had. Doom is great with Diablo synergy.

I'd personally would just ignore reverse controls and try to complete the challenges before they kick in. If they do kick in I'd just backdraft until that stage is done.

Really sorry, but what is backdraft? Do you mean, do nothing during the fight, and just follow instructions, till he activates SP1?

Backdraft as in just going back until the reverse control ends. Yes, there's nothing you can do that can significantly damage him until he's wounded so all you have to do is do what the prompts says and wait for his sp1 so you can accumulate more token of competence=more damage.

My personal advice is get atleast one reverse control immune champ for the sake of his third phase and use heavy hitters with high attack/critical/critical damage rating like doom, nick, any of the spideys or just use a tank if you are afraid of his sp2s.

For me I had to spend like 500+ units twice. I gave up after getting him to third phase once since I got so desperate (massive skill issue lol) and had to do it once again. I used doom for first to third phase and herc for the last phase since you need to wait like 16 seconds without dying while he has both unstoppable and unblockable so herc was the ideal choice cuz of his immortality.
